The Play Conference is an annual educational conference presented by the US Play Coalition. The latest research and practices in the field of play is presented at the conference, which brings together play researchers, park and recreation professionals, educators, health scientists, landscape architects, designers, planners, business and community leaders, psychologists, physicians and parents from across the U.S. and beyond. The event includes keynote and featured speakers, roundtables, educational sessions, grant opportunities, networking, EPIC play breaks and more.

The US Play Coalition is a partnership to promote the value of play throughout life.

The first play movement started the early 1900’s. Now, given the many problems with obesity and other social ills that have occurred with the erosion of play opportunities, it is time to begin the second great play movement. We ask you to help us as we do so. The time has come for all of us to help our children, and citizens regardless of age, create a better life, and ultimately, to make a difference in today’s world by making joys and benefits associated with play a reality for all.

Play Facilitator Training

Play Facilitator Certificate of Completion training is an online introductory course that will help you incorporate play through two facilitation roles: supporting and directing.  It is designed to meet the needs of seasonal, part-time, and temporary workers at camps, playgrounds, and after-school programs. The program is also beneficial as a training tool for full-time staff that work with and lead those individuals.
